Michael Caine: Heath Ledger's Joker In Batman Sequel 'Scariest' Ever

There's a lot of buzz building for the Batman sequel, 'The Dark Knight'.

We've already heard that Heath Ledger's take on Joker will be one of the higlights of the film. And now in an interview with MTV, Michael Caine, who stars as Batman's trustworthy butler Alfred Pennyworth says that Ledger’s Joker is “one of the scariest performances I’ve ever seen.”

"It’s about Heath Ledger as The Joker," Caine says. "He will be the talking point of the next Batman. He's fantastic. He's gone in a different direction than Jack (Nicholson). Jack was like a really scary old, nasty old uncle with a funny face. Heath is like the most murderous psychopath you've ever seen on the screen."

Caine added that unlike the first he won't be seen in any of the big action scenes, and says: “He kept me out of it this time.”

With all we've heard 'The Dark Knight' could possibly the best Batman movie ever made. It comes out July 18, 2008, and we can't wait.
