Michael Bay Walks Off Stage and Abandons Samsung Presentation After Snafu

Michael Bay appeared at Samsung's CES event to tout the company's new Ultra HD TV.

But after a problem with his teleprompter, an overwhelmed Bay said he was sorry and quickly walked off the stage in a moment that left attendees puzzled.

"The type is all off," Bay said when he first realized the error. "I'm sorry but I'll just wing this."

But that lasted all of ten seconds.

"Excuse me. I'm sorry. I'm sorry," he said as he walked off.

Later, on his website, Bay said he skipped a line on the teleprompter and next thing he knew he was totally lost.

"Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES," he said. "I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar."

"I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP's intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down—then I walked off. I guess live shows aren't my thing."
