Matt Damon Gets Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Matt Damon says when he was a struggling actor, he used to look at the stars on the boulevard sidewalk and dreamed of seeing his name on one of them someday.

"Ben and I lived in a really, really crappy apartment about five blocks away from here," said Damon. "We used to walk up and down here, and look at these stars and... I hoped, I dreamed that this would happen but I... thank you, thanks a lot."

Damon continued: "A few times in my life I've had these experiences that are just kind of too big to process and this looks like it's going to be one of those times."

And he was also happy about his baseball team. "I'm thankful the Red Sox are in first place," Damon said.

Damon won a screenwriting Oscar with Ben Affleck in 1998 for "Good Will Hunting."

He resumes his role as Jason Bourne in "The Bourne Ultimatum" on August 3, 2007.
