Kelly Ripa Signs On For Five More Years Of 'Live'

With Regis Philbin set to leave later this month, 'Live' has signed on co-host Kelly Ripa (photosKelly Ripa photos) for five more years.

The extension will take effect in 2012, after her current deal expires next fall. It will bring her tenure on the morning talk show to 16 years.

It's a smart move by 'Live with Regis and Kelly' producers as they gear up to temporarily rename the show 'Live with Kelly' while they rotate through guest c-hosts and decide on a replacement.

Regis Philbin is set to leave on November 18 with a show that will recall his decades on the show.

Guests for his final week will include friends David Letterman, Donald Trump, Don Rickles, Jimmy Fallon and his once co-host Kathie Lee Gifford.

Producers announced last week that Jerry Seinfeld will host the first show with Ripa after Philbin's departure.
