Kelly Ripa Not Returning To 'Live' This Week After Strahan's Surprise Exit
Erin Andrews (photos 'Live' producers say Ripa is on a "previously-scheduled vacation" but the timing is raising eyebrows since the longtime host is said to be furious after discovering Strahan is leaving the show for 'Good Morning America'. Ripa reportedly felt blindsided and angered as she discovered the news at the same time as the rest of us. She was "livid," according to sources. Actress Ana Gasteyer was a last-minute replacement for Ripa on Wednesday. Strahan is expected to stay on the show through August which could cause some awkward moments. He made a point to thank Ripa at the end of Wednesday's show, saying: "I really want to thank, of course, Kelly Ripa, because Kelly welcomed me here and I've learned so much from her, and she's just been an amazing influence on me.' "This has truly changed my life to be here with her."
