Canadian PM Justin Trudeau Tears Up Talking About Gord Downie's Death

Justin Trudeau paid tribute to Tragically Hip lead singer Gord Downie after the news of the musician's death.

"We are less as a country without Gord Downie in it," said the Canadian Prime Minister.

"I thought I was going to make it through this but I'm not," Trudeau told reporters as he teared up. "It hurts."

Downie died this week after a battle with brain cancer. He was 53.
