Jon Stewart Working On New Comedy Central Show

On Wednesday, Comedy Central will announce that it has picked up a second series from 'The Daily Show' host Jon Stewart and his production company.

The show called 'Important Things With Demetri Martin' will air in the second half of 2008 and will be executive produced by Stewart and Martin, who has been a part of the 'Daily Show'.

It's said the first order for the series will be around 10 episodes. The show will be a mix between taped sketches and stand-up comedy in front of a studio audience. Each episode will focus on one subject, with the segments focusing on 'the important things' about a particular topic - everything from apples to chairs.

Stewart has apparently been very involved in the project, even editing final cuts of the show with Martin. The other series that the network ordered from his 'Busboy' production company was 'The Colbert Report'.
