JK Rowling To Compile 'Harry Potter' Encyclopedia, Proceeds To Charity

JK Rowling is start work on compiling a 'Harry Potter' encyclopedia.

Although many unofficial versions already exist, the project from the author has been rumored for years.

And much to the excitement of 'Potter' fans everywhere, the official encyclopedia will soon be a reality.

"For a long time I have been promising an encyclopedia of Harry's world, and I have started work on this now some of it forms the new content in Pottermore," Rowling says on her website.

"It is likely to be a time-consuming job, but when finished I shall donate all royalties to charity."

She didn't reveal when it might be finished but she did add that she wouldn't rule out writing a new Harry Potter adventure in a few years.

"I have always refused to say 'never' to this question, because I think it would be foolish to rule out something I might want to do in a few years' time."

Meanwhile, Rowling revealed last week that the title of her first adult novel, about a parish council election in a small English town called Pagford, will be titled 'The Casual Vacancy'.
