Jill Wagner To Leave 'Wipeout' After Summer Season

Jill Wagner will be leaving 'Wipeout' after the upcoming summer season.

"After four seasons of co-hosting Wipeout I have been given the opportunity to pursue new directions in my acting career, which I am very passionate about," Wagner tells TV Guide.

"I am extremely grateful to all those at Wipeout, Endemol and ABC, who have been so supportive of me through these years."

Wagner has been a co-host and sideline reporter on Wipeout's obstacle course since its 2008 debut.

But producers have begun their search for a replacement, alongside hosts John Henson and John Anderson, as they continue to shoot new episodes for the summer.

"We have loved the sense of humor and energy Jill has brought to our show as the co-host for the past four seasons," says producer Matt Kunitz.

"She will certainly be missed but we wish her nothing but the best. We look forward to bringing a new, fun and vibrant personality to next season's Wipeout."

Wagner began her career as a cast member on the MTV series Punk'd. She appeared in about a dozen sketches for the show.

She also co-starred in the Spike TV show 'Blade: The Series' as Krista Starr before landing on the Big Balls.
