Jessica Alba Apologizes For Vandalizing Oklahoma City

Jessica Alba (photosJessica Alba photos) has been forced to apologize after Oklahoma City's Director of Parks and Recreation filed a police report for defacing public property.

Apparently Alba got a little carried away on her mission to save the Great White Sharks by plastering electrical boxes, a bridge and a United Way billboard with posters for the cause.

"I got involved in something I should have had no part of," Alba says in a statement.

"I realize that I should have used better judgment and I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign."

"I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in this incident."

The actress is in the city filming a new movie. A spokesperson for the United Way says they have no idea why Alba decided to target their non-profit billboard for the cause since they'll now have to pay out of pocket to replace it.

It remains to be seen whether the apology will make any difference to Oklahoma Police, who are currently considering charging Alba on vandalism-related charges.
