Jerry Seinfeld To Guest Star on '30 Rock' This Fall

In its attempt to climb out of fourth place in the network race, NBC is turning to an old time friend.

Even if it's only for a night, Jerry Seinfeld will return to Thursday-night comedy, when he guests on the Oct. 4 premiere of "30 Rock." Seinfeld is slated to play himself on the premiere episode of the show's second season.

"I was thrilled to be asked to guest star on NBC's hit comedy '30 Rock'. I think it's going to be so refreshing for me to be playing myself in a show that has nothing to do with neurotic, dysfunctional New York characters," Seinfeld says. On the show, he is set for a showdown with network exec Jack Donaghy, played by Alec Baldwin.

NBC also announced that Isaiah Washington, who was dropped from "Grey's Anatomy" after he made a homophobic slur to a cast mate, will appear on five of the first six episodes of "Bionic Woman," the network's most promising fall show.
