'Jericho' Won't Wrap Up Series With Seven Episodes

The cast of CBS' resurrected 'Jericho' including stars Skeet Ulrich, Lennie James, and Ashley Scott are thanking fans for their incredible support and are now dropping hints about the upcoming season.

Ashley Scott says one silver lining to the cancellation was that that it "brought out the audience." "I was so excited that I thought Ashton Kutcher was going to pop out," when she heard the news of its renewal.

Lennie James recalls: "I picked up the phone and Skeet's voice saying,' we're back on' and then just us screaming like little girls."

Executive producer Carol Barbee says since they currently only have a renewal for seven episodes, instead of the full season, they plan to get to a lot to keep viewers interested.

"We had already pitched Season 2, and so we already had it arched out. We were going to tell a story from three different cities. When we got the short run, we decided we will tell it just from the Jericho perspective. A lot happens in those seven episodes."

James says: "We plan on coming back," after the seven episodes. But what if 'Jericho' is cancelled once again? "Right now, we do not have a plan to wrap it up at the end of episode 7."

However, Barbee adds, "I will say with the amazing support we have had, if we get cancelled, we will find a way to not leave you hanging."
