James Franco Skips Critics' Choice Awards After Flood Of Accusations

James Franco was a no-show during the 2018 Critics' Choice Awards ceremony to accept his award for Best Actor following accusations of sexual misconduct.

'Vice Principals' star Walton Goggins instead took the stage.

"James couldn't be here so we accept this on his behalf," he said.

Five women accused actor James Franco of inappropriate or exploitative behavior in a Los Angeles Times report published Thursday.

The women claim that he used acting schools where he taught to find actresses to perform low-paying nude scenes in his projects.

Two student actresses recalled Franco became angry when they refused to be topless. He also allegedly removed plastic modesty coverings from actress' while performing scenes and pressured another to perform oral sex on him.

Criticism directed at Franco began when he wore a "Time's Up" pin at the Golden Globes. That prompted 'Breakfast Club' actress Ally Sheedy and several others to speak out against the actor's apparent hypocrisy.

Sheedy implied that Franco was the reason she left the film and TV business.
