Illinois High School Pitcher Hits Bird With Pitch (Video)

Illinois high school pitcher Ryne Elvers drilled a bird while delivering a pitch during the game between Sacred Heart-Griffin and Southeast High at Lanphier Park.

But the resilient bird took the hit and flew off as if nothing happened. The pitch came in the fifth inning on an 0-1 count.

Some of you may remember that the bird that took a hit from Seattle Marines pitcher Randy Johnson wasn't so fortunate:
