Ice Cube Blames 'Sympathy', Feels 'Robbed' Losing To Paul Walker at MTV Awards

Ice Cube isn't happy after late actor Paul Walker and 'Fast & Furious 6' co-star Vin Diesel were awarded the Best Onscreen Duo at Sunday night's 2014 MTV Movie Awards.

"We was robbed," Ice Cube tells USA Today. "Shame on you MTV."

The 'Ride Along' star calls it a "sympathy" vote by fans because Walker died in a car crash in November.

"We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy. We were the best onscreen duo, period," he says of his turn with Kevin Hart.

"They should have gave it to him before he passed away," he says of Walker.

Cube says he wasn't at the show during its tribute to Walker and, in fact, left the awards show soon after arriving.

"I just wasn't into it," he explains. "I have been going in and out of these things for 25 years. If you ain't into it, why torture yourself? As soon as you get bored, get up and leave."
