Harry Shearer To Return to 'The Simpsons' After Bitter Contract Dispute

After months of contract negotiations, Harry Shearer will return to 'The Simpsons'.

Shearer had said he would be leaving the long-running animated series over the contract dispute in May.

When Fox announced the show would return for another two seasons, without including names of the voice cast, he miffed: "Doesn't this show have a cast?"

Shearer, who had been part of the voice cast since its origins on 'The Tracey Ullman Show', voiced several key characters including Ned Flanders, Mr. Burns and Smithers.

Now Fox has confirmed that he will be alongside fellow cast members Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith and Hank Azaria for the 27th and 28th seasons.
