Harrison Ford Won't Lose Pilot's License Over Passenger Plane Incident

The FAA has concluded its investigation two months after Harrison Ford was involved in a passenger plane incident at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California.

Not only will Ford get to keep his pilot's license but the 'Star Wars' actor won't be fined after mistakenly flying dangerously close over a passenger jetliner before landing his plane on the wrong taxiway.

"The FAA conducted a full investigation into the matter, including an interview with Mr. Ford, and determined that no administrative or enforcement action was warranted. Mr. Ford retains his pilot's certificate without restriction," Ford's law firm says in a statement to E!.

"In closing the matter, the agency acknowledged Mr. Ford's long history of compliance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and his cooperative attitude during the investigation."

The statement concludes: "Mr. Ford has held a pilot's certificate for more than 20 years, has logged more than 5,000 hours in the air, and has never been the subject of an FAA administrative or enforcement action."

In audio from the tower, the 74-year-old can be heard saying: "I'm the schmuck that landed on the taxiway. I was distracted by the aircraft which was in movement when I turned to the runway and also the big turbulence from the landing."
