Gary Coleman in Critical Condition at Hospital After Fall

Former child television star Gary Coleman has been hospitalized in Utah in critical condition.

The former child star of Diff'rent Strokes, now 42, was admitted to the intensive care unit at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

Coleman's brother-in-law told reporters that Gary sustained a head injury after a fall.

It's his third medical emergency this year. He was also hospitalized after suffering seizures in January and February.

The February one came on set while Coleman was doing a TV interview.

Coleman's wife, Shannon Price, and her father released a statement saying Coleman was taken to the hospital with "a serious medical problem."

The statement asks for prayers, adding "we hope those prayers are answered and that Gary will be able to recover and return home soon."

Coleman has had a string of financial and medical problems in recent years. In addition to continuing ill health in his adulthood from the kidney disease he suffered as a child, Coleman has had at least two kidney transplants and has ongoing dialysis.
