Fox Removes 'Family Guy' Episode Referencing Boston Marathon

Fox has pulled an episode of 'Family Guy' from its streaming service after an edited clip surfaced with scenes from the show that joked about the Boston Marathon bombings.

The original episode, titled 'Turban Cowboy', revolved around Peter Griffin, winning the Boston marathon by striking other competitors with his car.

However, the edited clip combines a conversation Griffin has with Bob Costas about winning the marathon with an unrelated scene near the end of the episode in which he inadvertently blows up a bridge by dialing a phone belonging to a terrorist.

The edited clip was edited to give the impression that Peter won the marathon by setting off two bombs at the event.

"The edited Family Guy clip currently circulating is abhorrent," says 'Family Guy' creator Seth MacFarlane. "The event was a crime and a tragedy, and my thoughts are with the victims."
