Fox Promises To Air Remaining 'Dollhouse' Season Two Episodes

Following the release of Nielsen's 'live plus 7' data, which includes DVR viewers that watch a program within a week after its broadcast, Fox promises that will at least air the remaining 'Dollhouse' episodes, despite low ratings.

"We're going to run all the episodes," Fox scheduling head Preston Beckman tells 'THR'. "We're not saying we're happy with those numbers, or accept them, but we don't have to overreact."

"It's one of the reasons that we brought 'Dollhouse' back; we knew it was DVR-friendly," says Beckman. "Hopefully we'll see the overnight ratings increase from week to week. With some shows, you have to look at the bigger picture."

This after data from the premiere week showed that the 'Dollhouse' grew by 36.5 percent (2.5 million to 3.42 million) and its adults 18-49 demo viewership climbed by around 50%.

Fox's words will come as a relief to worried 'Dollhouse' fans, however, the show definitely appears to be on the path to cancellation after its current thirteen episode run.

Creator Joss Whedon says he's aware of the possibility and plans to write the 13th hour to give fans some sense of closure: "We'll definitely have closure but will leave some doors open." The team is currently shooting its eighth episode.

The top ten other shows that saw the largest gains in overall viewers with the inclusion of the DVR data were 'Grey's Anatomy', 'The Mentalist', 'House', 'CSI', 'FlashForward', 'Fringe', 'NCIS', 'Criminal Minds', 'CSI: Miami', and 'Bones'.
