First Look At Fox's Ambitious 'Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey'

Fox has released its first trailer for the ambitious documentary series 'Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey'.

The original 13-part 'Cosmos: A Personal Voyage' first aired in 1980 and was hosted by Carl Sagan. It was described as "a watershed moment for science-themed television programming."

The new series will hosted by renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and is executive produced by Seth MacFarlane and Ann Druyan, Sagan's widow, with music written by Alan Silvestri.

The first episode, to air on Sunday, March 9 at 9 PM, will take viewers to the birth of Renaissance Italian Giordano Bruno's vision of the universe as a limitless expanse of space and time with an exploration into the Cosmic Calendar, which dates back to the dawn of the Big Bang.

It will simultaneously be broadcast on Fox, FX, FXX, FXM, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild, and Fox Life.
