Erin Andrews To Replace Brooke Burke on 'Dancing with the Stars'

Erin Andrews (photosErin Andrews photos) will replace Brooke Burke (photosBrooke Burke photos) as the co-host of 'Dancing with the Stars'.

Andrews, who competed on season ten of the ABC ballroom dancing competition with pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, will take over as Tom Bergeron's co-host for the upcoming season.

In a statement, Burke made clear that she didn't quit and said the move came as a shock to her.

"I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture," said the 42-year-old. "I've always been one to embrace change and I'm looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn't able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show."

"I've seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom, but this one takes the cake," Burke said.

The move comes after the series fired longtime music director Harold Wheeler and the 28 members of his live band.

'Dancing with the Stars' returns for its eighteenth season on March 17.
