Don Imus Settles With CBS Radio, Attempting Comeback

Don Imus made some ground on Tuesday in his comeback bid by reaching a settlement with CBS Radio that allows him to return to the airwaves at a new station.

Under the terms of the settlement, the threatened $120 million breach-of-contract lawsuit against CBS has been dismissed.

There is already word that Imus has had informal talks with several broadcasters, including WABC in New York, about a comeback.

The settlement comes just four months after he made a sexist and racist remark about the Rutgers women's basketball team - which caused huge massive uproar at the time. After referring to the squad as "nappy-headed hos" on his nationally syndicated radio program he became the target of protests led by the Rev. Al Sharpton.

Some think he may be more valuable now than before the controversy and could possibly deliver even higher ratings after the media attention the incident received.
