Daniel Craig Was Offered But Declined Lead Role In 'Thor'

There were rumors a few months ago that current James Bond, Daniel Craig, was being considered for the lead role in 'Thor'.

As absurd as it sounded, apparently it was not only true, but Craig was actually offered a chance to play the Mightly Thor by Marvel Studios.

Speaking at a Los Angeles gathering to promote 'Quantum of Solace', the actor was asked if he would be interested in doing something a little different character-wise, like 'Thor'.

Craig first laughed about the suggestion, probably just like did when he was offered the part, and said he wasn't interested in going that route.

He told reporters that while Marvel did approach him with the role, he turned it down, and joked that he said no because it would have been "too much of a power trip" to play both Bond and Thor, especially with the long hair and a hammer.
