Cosby's Lawyer Says He Wasn't In Los Angeles At Time Of Playboy Mansion Assault

Bill Cosby's lawyer says that the comedian was not at the Playboy Mansion on the night a model has accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting her.

Martin Singer says Cosby was in New York on the night that model Chloe Goins claims the comedian drugged and took advantage of her in a bedroom of the mansion.

He plans to submit flight and telephone records to authorities detailing the comedian's travel before and after the incident is alleged to take place.

"Mr. Cosby was in New York on that date," Singer says. "We will be providing documentary evidence to the appropriate authorities which conclusively establishes Mr. Cosby's whereabouts on August 9th and for the preceding and succeeding days."

Goins has told police the abuse took place during an event on August 9 2008, during an event called 'Midsummer's Night Dream Party' at the mansion. The recency would have made it one of the rare cases that would allow charges to be filed.

The model has stated she doesn't know exactly what happened when she was blacked out after accept a drink from Cosby but she awoke to find herself naked.

Los Angeles prosecutors will make the final determination on whether Cosby will face criminal charges.
