Construction Worker Dies After Accident On 'Blade Runner' Sequel Set

A 28-year-old construction worker has died after an accident on the set of the 'Blade Runner' sequel.

The Hungarian man was dismantling the set for the sequel currently filming in Budapest.

"The worker was underneath a platform, upon which the set was constructed, when it suddenly collapsed," Origo Studios says in a statement. "The cause of the accident is not yet known."

Most of the production had already moved to a new location at the time the accident occurred.

Jared Leto was the latest to join the project scheduled for release on October 6, 2017. He joined the previously confirmed Harrison Ford, who reprises his role as Rick Deckard, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright and Mackenzie Davis.
