Chris Brown Sued By Photographer For Gym Assault

On the same day Chris Brown released an online video to declare he was "not a monster," a photographer has sued the singer for assault and battery.

Robert Rosen has sued Brown and LA Fitness International, claiming Brown's entourage chased him after he snapped a photo during a pickup basketball game in March.

Rosen, who two years ago accused Pierce Brosnan of sucker-punching him outside a restaurant, says he started running for the exit to avoid a confrontation, but a gym employee blocked him. And when one of Brown's bodyguards finally caught up to him, he "picked him up by his shorts and physically assaulted him."

Rosen says he was yelling for gym employees to call the police but employees didn't respond quickly enough, and when he finally got free, he tripped going down a flight of stairs.

The paparazzo claims he was "severely injured and disabled, both internally and externally" and in "great fear for his life, health and safety."

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages for assault and battery, infliction of emotional distress, negligence and false imprisonment.

"This is a specious and frivolous lawsuit by one of the paparazzi seeking publicity and a payday," says Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos. "He's done this before and lost. We will vigorously defend against this."
