Chris Brown Enters Rehab To 'Gain Focus', 'Insight Into Behavior'

Chris Brown is entering rehab following his weekend arrest for punching another man in Washington, D.C.

"Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility," Brown's spokesperson says in a statement. "His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."

Brown will be treated for anger issues and "do some introspection."

Brown, who continues to be on probation since his 2009 attack on Rihanna (photosRihanna photos), could face jail time as a result of the arrest. Although the felony assault charge was reduced to a misdemeanor after a court hearing.

The 20-year-old man who was attacked suffered a broken nose after he tried to jump into a photo with Brown and a female fan.

Brown's lawyer maintains that the singer's decision to enter rehab is not meant to acknowledge he did anything wrong outside the W Hotel.
