Chris Brown: Oprah's Domestic Violence Special Was 'Slap In My Face'

Despite publicly saying he is sorry for his assault on Rihanna (photosRihanna photos), Chris Brown apparently still has some issues with how things went down.

Speaking to 'People' magazine, Brown says he's especially upset with Oprah because she did a special show on abuse which she "dedicated to all the Rihannas of the world."

"I commend Oprah on being like, 'This is a problem,' but it was a slap in my face," says the 20-year-old singer.

"I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could have been more helpful, like, 'Okay, I'm going to help both of these people out.'"

"Love doesn't hurt. I've been saying this to women for years: Love doesn't hurt," Oprah said on the show. "And if a man hits you once, he will hit you again. He will hit you again. I don't care what his plea is."

In response to Brown's comments, the daytime queen says she is "very appreciative that Chris Brown performed at her school" but she "takes domestic abuse very seriously and hopes he gets the counseling he needs."

Chris Brown was sentenced to six months community labor and five years probation last week. He was also ordered to stay away from Rihanna for the next five years.

In an appearance on Larry King this Wednesday, Brown claimed he didn't remember all the specifics about the assault, but later said he simply 'misspoke'.
