Chris Brown Deletes His Twitter Account After Walmart Flap

Following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus (photosMiley Cyrus photos), Chris Brown has deleted his Twitter account.

The move comes a day after the beleaguered singer complained about Walmart and other retailers not stocking his new album.

"Just was at Walmart in Wallingford CT," he wrote. "They didn't even have my album in the back, not on shelves, saw for myself. We talked to the managers and they didn't even know anything. wow!!!"

"But they had Alicia Keys album ready for release for this Tuesday... no disrespect to Alicia at all. Just givin an example to whos album is loaded and ready to go next week."

The comments were especially unwarranted since all Walmart locations have in fact been carrying the album since its release. Perhaps he should have actually contacted his label instead of dropping by one Walmart location?

"We are surprised at the comments," the chain says in a statement. "All Walmart stores nationwide have carried the CD since its release, including the Wallingford store mentioned in the post."

"This store actually sold through its initial shipment over the weekend. The majority of our stores today are showing they do have copies available."

In his last post on Twitter, Brown wrote: "I wanna thank my fans for all the support. I love y'all. Goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Some of Chris Brown's fans are obviously upset. But Sharrod, who runs a fan site for the artist explains he was justified and assures fans not to worry for the singer: "The media can be real cruel, and they was all that and more about what Chris tweeted. They twisted his words around and picked at every little thing he said."

"He was constantly tweeted with tweets by haters, and I'm sure it was overwhelming to him. I'm sure he’s going to be okay though. Don't be sad or depressed about this situation. Continue to show your love and support for Chris."
