Charlie Sheen Rushed To Hospital For 'Stomach Pains'

Charlie Sheen was rushed by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Hospital on a stretcher Thursday.

"All I know is he was having severe abdominal pains and went to the hospital," says his representative, Stan Rosenfield.

Rosenfield says Sheen has had a history of hernia problems. The woman who made the 911 call said "he had severe stomach pains and said it was from a hernia condition."

"Charlie keeps saying it's his hernia," says a source close to Sheen. "He was curled up in a ball in excruciating pain."

The woman who called the ambulance first dialed Dr. Paul Nassif, the plastic surgeon husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, who informed her she should call 911.

"He says things like, 'Men like me don't die,'" adds the source. "Give him some free time and he's off and running."

Sheen has made headlines frequently over the past year. First, due to a messy split from his wife Brooke Mueller then after trashing a hotel room while he was with an adult film star in New York.

Just last week, CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler said network officials "have a high level of concern" about his off-camera behavior.
