Charlie Sheen Enters Rehab and Sends 'Two and a Half Men' On Hiatus

'Two and a Half Men' star Charlie Sheen has voluntarily checked into rehab.

"Charlie knows he has work to do and he is looking forward to regaining his sobriety," says his manager, Mark Burg, days after Sheen was rushed to hospital for, what was officially called, 'stomach pains'.

"Charlie hopes to be back at work in the near future but there is no time frame. Regaining his sobriety is what is most important."

For their part, CBS says they want Sheen to get the help he needs -- even though it would mean millions in lost revenue.

"Due to Charlie Sheen's decision to enter a rehabilitation center, executive producer Chuck Lorre is placing Two and a Half Men on production hiatus," says the network in a statement. "We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision."

"Working with him is always a little weird because like the stuff you hear is just unbelievable," show co-star Jon Cryer joked earlier this week on 'Conan'. "I mean like... I'm checking TMZ, as I do everyday, to know if I have to go to work at all."

CBS is said to sell 30-second spots on the show for more than $200,000, taking in more than $3 million per episode. The hit comedy grossed CBS more than $150 million in ad revenue last season. The network has two new episodes that have not yet aired in the can.
