CBS Announces 'Two and a Half Men' Return and Fall Premiere Dates

CBS has announced the premiere dates for the fall season, including the much anticipated return of a revamped 'Two and a Half Men'.

'Two and a Half Men', now led by Ashton Kutcher, will premiere on September 19 to officially open CBS' television season.

It's 9 PM slot will follow two episodes of the Season 7 premiere of 'How I Met Your Mother' starting at 8 PM and lead into new comedy '2 Broke Girls' and 'Hawaii Five-0' at 10 PM.

The return of 'Men' will probably be one of the highest rated events during premiere week as it will reveal how Chuck Lorre decides to write off Charlie Sheen's character, Charlie Harper, out of the show.

Rumors have been flying the character may be killed off in a car crash to make way for Kutcher. Specifically, Charlie would drive his car off of a cliff -- which would make for a hilarious end to Charlie Harper considering how many cars Sheen has destroyed doing very much the same.

One note is that while the network will roll out much of its programming that week, the 23rd season of 'Survivor' will premiere on the Wednesday before.

"Our playbook is pretty consistent: wherever and whenever possible we use established successful series to introduce new shows," explains CBS prime-time executive Kelly Kahl. "We've also asked a couple of our strongest series to work overtime during premiere week in order to support the new series and bolster our performance."
