Carrie Prejean Could Be Stripped of Miss California Title

The fallout continued from Carrie Prejean's topless photo on Tuesday as directors of the Miss California USA pageant met to decide if Prejean should be stripped of her crown.

They met to not only determine whether Carrie Prejean violated her contract by posing topless when she was a teenage model, but also by working with a national group that opposes gay marriage.

Pageant spokesman Roger Neal says Prejean appears to have "ignored several sections" of the 12-page contract that all prospective contestants are required to sign before competing in the state contest.

Those stipulations prohibit Miss California from making personal appearances, giving interviews or making commercials without express permission from pageant officials.

A point Prejean has ignored by making several appearances on behalf of the 'National Organization for Marriage', a group against same-sex marriage, since she spoke out on the issue at the Miss USA pageant.

The contract also asks participants to disclose whether they have ever been photographed nude, partially nude, or topless.

A question to which Prejean answered 'no', even though as soon as the topless photo of her leaked out, the model admitted she posed for the shot but shrugged it off as a regular modeling job and an attempt to undermine her integrity.

"I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos."

"I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be. My comments defending traditional marriage have led to intimidation tactics that seek to undermine my reputation and somehow silence me and my beliefs, as if opinion is only a one-way street."

However, pageant officials, who haven't been too pleased with Prejean's behavior since the competition aren't taking it as lightly and will very likely use the opportunity to strip her of the Miss California title to avoid further controversy.
