Brea Grant Joins 'Dexter' With Recurring Role

Brea Grant, best known for her roles in 'Halloween II' and 'Heroes', has joined the 'Dexter' cast.

With Edward James Olmos, Colin Hanks and Mos Def already in the mix, the Showtime drama is definitely rolling as it gets ready for filming later this month.

Grant made the announcement on her official website as she teased: "I'll be recurring on Dexter this season! No spoilers but I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing me in a white lab coat."

A few weeks ago, producers had put out a casting call for Louis, who they described as "a buddy of Masuka's who joins MMP as a new lab intern. Role calls for a Caucasian actor in his/her 30s who is attractive in his own way."

But maybe after meeting with Grant, producers decided a woman would work better for the role and made the switch.

In any case, it should be exciting to get some new blood in forensics. pun intended.
