Brad Pitt Could Get Sued For Pulling Out Of 'State of Play'

Brad Pitt has pulled out of Universal's political thriller movie 'State of Play' because he isn't happy with the final script.

After nearly two weeks of meetings between Pitt and Kevin Macdonald, who also worked on 'The Last King of Scotland', in an attempt to resolve the differences, Pitt decided he didn't want to go ahead with the project.

The biggest problem being that the script can't be worked on because of the Hollywood screenwriters' strike.

Universal is now reportedly scrambling to replace Pitt and word is they're looking at Johnny Depp, and Russell Crowe. Pitt was to co-star with Edward Norton, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, and Jason Bateman in the adaptation of the British miniseries.

Universal is upset and is said to be going over its legal options and may sue the actor for backing out at the last minute.
