Billy Bush Can't Recover, Negotiating Exit From NBC's 'Today' Show

Days after Donald Trump's lewd conversation with Billy Bush was made public, Bush is negotiating his exit from NBC.

Bush, who has already been suspended from the 'Today' show, is working out the terms of his departure with NBC. He had joined the morning show for its 9 AM hour just this summer.

The 44-year-old Bush has apologized for his role in the Trump tape, in which he can be heard laughing as the Republican nominee admits to trying to get into his 'Access Hollywood' co-host Nancy O'Dell's pants and grabbing women's genitals.

What especially upset some viewers is that on the tape, following the comments, Bush encouraged 'Days of Our Lives' actress Arianna Zucker to hug Trump and also asked Zucker for a "hug for the Bushy."

NBC's original plan was for Bush to apologize to viewers on Monday morning. However, given the backlash of the video and 'Today's significant female audience, producers decided to sideline the host on Sunday night.

'Today' is in a ratings battle with ABC's 'Good Morning America' and producers believe they can't have a host who other guests refuse to be interviewed by for fear of being associated with his lewd conduct.
