Bill O'Reilly Balks At Russia's Demand For Apology: 'Check In Around 2023'
The Russian government demanded an apology because O'Reilly called Russian President Vladimir Putin "a killer" in his Sunday interview with President Donald Trump that aired ahead of the Super Bowl. "We consider comments of that kind made by Fox News' journalist unacceptable and offensive," said spokesman Dmitry Peskov. "And, frankly, we would like to receive an apology addressed to the president from such a respected network." "I'm working on that apology, but it may take a little time," he said on Monday's 'The O'Reilly Factor'. "Might want to check in with me around 2023." As for Trump's response that "What do you think, our country is so innocent?," O'Reilly said the President was "straightforward and honest in that interview. whether you liked his answers or not." The anchor also shared new segments from the interview including one in which Trump seemingly confirmed that the Affordable Care Act wouldn't be replaced until next year. Bill O'Reilly didn't waste time addressing the Russian government's demand for an apology from the Fox News anchor.
