Bill Cosby Drops Defamation Case Against Model Beverly Johnson

Bill Cosby has dropped his defamation lawsuit against supermodel Beverly Johnson.

Cosby had filed the suit after Johnson accused the comedian of drugging her in the 1980s by spiking her cappuccino in his New York home.

There have obviously been dozens of other women to come forward since then so there was little chance the comedian would have won the lawsuit.

However, his lawyer claims that Cosby decided to drop the claim to focus on his criminal case in Pennsylvania.

In the state, Cosby is charged with drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand at his Philadelphia home in 2004.

The comedian has also filed a lawsuit against Constand to return the money he paid her to settle her 2005 civil lawsuit because she spoke with police.

He claims that Constand wasn't required to talk to police and since she did so "voluntary," she violated their agreement to keep quiet about the case.
