Beyonce Signs Massive $50 Million Deal With Pepsi

Beyonce has just signed a multi-year deal with Pepsi that adds up to a cool $50 million.

The deal will not only include standard fare like commercials and print advertising but also a "fund to support the singer's chosen creative projects," according to the New York Times.

The paper says soon after Beyonce performs at the Pepsi-sponsored Super Bowl halftime show, she will be featured in a new TV ad for the soft drink and her face will grace a limited-edition line of cans.

"Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve," the singer says in a statement. "As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity."

President of PepsiCo global, Brad Jakeman, says the deal makes sense because "consumers are seeking a much greater authenticity in marketing from the brands they love."

"It's caused a shift in the way we think about deals with artists, from a transactional deal to a mutually beneficial collaboration."
