'Batman v Superman' Deleted Scene Fills In Lex Luthor Plot Hole

Warner Bros. has released a deleted scene from 'Batman v Superman' just days after the film's release.

The studio is no doubt hoping to fill in a plot hole and answer how Lex Luthor ends up in captivity after Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman have dispatched with Doomsday.

Jesse Eisneberg's Luthor also alludes to Darkseid's ominous arrival with no mention of how he knows who Darkseid is.

The deleted scene titled 'Communion' aims to answer both of these questions. It shows soldiers descending upon General Zod's ship and finding a monster holding three cubes, which appear to be the comic's Mother Boxes, a Darkseid technology hinting at what's to come in Justice League.

The scene will be included in the 30-minute extended 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition' of the film is released this summer.
