Artie Lange Charged With DUI After New Jersey Accident

Radio personality and comedian Artie Lange has been charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicant after what is being called a minor traffic accident in New Jersey.

Police say Lange's 2009 Nissan hit another vehicle around 1:30 PM on Friday and responding officers' noticed that the 41-year-old may be under the influence.

The report says that they found no indication that Lange was "under the influence of illicit drugs" but determined that he was under the influence of something.

He was taken to police headquarters for processing and released pending a municipal court appearance on July 16. No one was injured and both vehicles came out of the collision with only minor damage.

Lange was an original member of the 'MADtv' cast but he is best known for being a regular on the 'Howard Stern Show'. His alcohol and drug use has been the butt of many jokes on the radio show.
