'Argo' Wins Best Film at British Film and Television Awards

'Argo' seems to be all but a lock for an Oscars after racking up another award by winning Best Film at the British Academy of Film and Television Awards.

The true-story inspired thriller earned three prizez at the BAFTAs including best film, nest editing, and best director for Ben Affleck.

It has already earned the same honor at the AFI Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Critics Choice Awards, and Producers Guild of America.

Steven Spielberg's 'Lincoln', which was the leading nominee with 10 nods, only won a Best Actor award for Daniel Day-Lewis.

Meanwhile, the 85-year-old Emmanuelle Riva of the critically loved French-language film 'Amour' was named best actress.

The latest installment of the James Bond franchise, 'Skyfall', was unsurprisingly named the Outstanding British Film.
