'Apprentice' Will Return With Celebrities

"The Apprentice" will return to NBC next season with a celebrity twist.

NBC had canceled "The Apprentice" due to low ratings when it announced its season schedule in May. But the network's new entertainment chief Ben Silverman is looking to revive the once popular Trump reality show.

NBC said the celebrity winner will donate proceeds to charity instead of going to work for The Donald or pocketing the money.

Now, how perfect would Trump's nemisis Rosie O'Donnell be as a contestant?

"It would be great to have Rosie on 'The Apprentice,'" Silverman said. "Donald personally told me to extend an invitation to her."

But don't bet on it. "It will never happen in this lifetime or beyond," said Cindi Berger, O'Donnell's spokeswoman, when asked about the possibility.

No contestants have been were named yet by NBC announcement. The network says it was looking for people with entreprenurial abilities in the areas of sports, entertainment and fashion. One can only hope they are half-recognizable.

Word is NBC is also working on another series with magician Criss Angel and Uri Geller, for a competition where they will search for the next great mentalist.
