Anthony Hopkins As Hitchcock Warns Against Cell Phones During Movie

In character as legendary filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock, Anthony Hopkins is warning audience members not to use their cell phones in the theater.

"Welcome to this theater," says Hopkins. "I have been called the master of suspense. But nothing is more horrifying than talking or texting in the middle of a movie."

"Please do not text during the movie because it makes everyone psycho. Sincerely and emphatically, Alfred Hitchcock."

Along with delivering an often repeated message in theaters, the spot was recorded as a clever promo for 'Hitchcock' -- which will be released on November 23.

Ironically, the footage was recorded on a cell phone.
