Anthony Bourdain Calls Out Paula Deen on Twitter
"Thinking of getting into the leg-breaking business, so I can profitably sell crutches later," quipped Bourdain. The remark came shortly after Deen admitted on the 'Today' show that she was diagnosed three years ago but decided to wait -- and continue to sell her decadent Southern recipes -- until she could "bring something to the table." Deen announced she was now a paid spokesperson for Novo Nordisk, which helps people living with diabetes. This isn't the first time Bourdain has blasted Deen. Last year, the 'No Reservations' star called her the "most dangerous person to America" who is "proud of the fact that her food is f---ing bad for you." Deen, who we now know was aware of her diagnosis at that point, retorted that Bourdain should "get a life." Anthony Bourdain is calling out Paula Deen for promoting indulgent foods while sitting on the news she had Type 2 Diabetes until she could become a paid spokeswoman for the cause.
