Anna Nicole Smith Gets Chance At Money

Former model and actress Anna Nicole Smith won a round in the US Supreme Court on Monday. The rules offers a new opportunity to collect millions of dollars she claims her late Texas oil tycoon husband had promised her.

The justices unanimously overturned an appeals court ruling that the blond widow was entitled to nothing. They said Smith could pursue her claim in federal court.

J. Howard Marshall was 89 and Smith was 26 when they married. Marshall paid for his wife's acting lessons and lavished gifts upon her.

The marriage ended with Marshall's death on Aug. 4, 1995, but the showdown between the widow and Marshall's family over the fortune just began.
