Anderson Cooper Walked Out Of 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi'

Anderson Cooper discusses hosting on New Year's Eve, politics and tells Stephen Colbert why he walked out of 'Star Wars' after just 45 minutes.

"I got a lot going on. I had a lot of work to do," explains Anderson. "It wasn't in protest. I'm going to go see it again. I just had too much in my head. I wanted to enjoy it."

The CNN anchor says it was because he thought "I'm not giving this the attention it deserves."

Cooper also revealed he spent $2,900 on warm electric clothing to host New Year's Eve outdoors.

"It's funny, because in the run up, Andy Cohen kept having these appointments to get warm jackets tailored. I was like, 'You don't need a tailored coat, you need massive layers of parkas!. So I knew he was going to really die out there."
