'America's Next Top Model' Finale Ends With Disqualification

'America's Next Top Model' crowned its winner Wednesday night but not before a disqualification of one of the final three contestants.

Allison Harvard, Lisa D'Amato and Angelea Preston were fighting for the all-stars cycle crown but the judges shocked viewers after a beach photo shoot and a runway show by declaring that Preston was disqualified -- without specifying exactly why.

That led to Allison and Lisa in the finals, with the latter ultimately taking home the prize.

But fans are still wondering what exactly Angelea did to get disqualified.

What many viewers will be surprised to learn is that the scenes they saw last night were in fact filmed after the original finale was shot -- which means Angelea may have won in the original finale.

"After production wrapped on the current cycle of America's Next Top Model, we learned information that made Angelea ineligible and she was subsequently disqualified from the competition," the CW says in a statement. "As a result, new scenes were filmed to address this for the audience during the finale."

So what exactly did Angelea do to get disqualified after filming was complete? Reveal herself to be the winner of the competition before it aired on television.

According to watchers of her Facebook page, Angelea boasted about her victory at one point on her personal page to friends.

That would have broken the confidentiality clause in the show's contract and, hence, disqualified her from the prize.
