'American Idol' Vote Number Dials Phone Sex Company

If you were one of those who tried to call the 'American Idol' number for the 13th contestant, you probably ended up reaching a phone sex line.

Ryan Seacrest revealed on his KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday that while Fox owns 1-866-IDOLS-01 to 1-866-IDOLS-12, the voting line for 13 would connect callers to a "nasty girl." This is the first season a 13th contestant has been made it into the finals.

It appears when Simon Cowell claimed last week that it was a last-minute decision to make this season's Idol a 13-horse race, he wasn't joking.

"Hey there sexy guy... Hot horny girls are waiting right now to talk to you. Lie back, baby. Relax," says the message on the line.

The Idol host wondered "who calls those numbers? This woman doesn't even sound hot," and said producers were trying desperately "to script some kind of joke" about the matter.

'Idol' Producer Megan Michaels told Seacrest they would release a special G-rated phone number for the 13th contestant, that would be different from their standard number, but the show would not "allude to the fact of this number, because we don't want to endorse that, you know?"
